Summer Events & Activities for Children

You need to book and pay for the sessions in advance and children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. As well as sessions for 5 to 10-year olds there are some longer sessions for 8 to 12-year olds where the children will need to bring a pack lunch and don’t need an adult to accompany them.
Two hour sessions cost £5.00
(£4.30 for concessions).
The four-hour sessions are £8.50
(£7.50 for concessions)

In addition to our regular holiday activities we have a special art workshop:
Recycled Sculptures
Saturday 23 July
Families are invited to join sculptor Michelle Reader creating wildlife from waste. Children will create sculptures inspired by Holland Park’s wild inhabitants using a mix of natural materials and waste materials collected in the park. Bring along some unwanted objects from home to add to the sculptures. Suitable for children 8 and above. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet: 10:00-12:30 or 13:00-15:30

Pop-up Pine Marten
Wednesday 10 August
Meet our special summer visitor from the Horniman Museum and join in with some pine marten crafts.

Signing up to this year’s Summer Reading Challenge at your local library and reading 6 library books over the summer means you will be a part of the global year-long celebrations of the birth of the world’s No. 1 Storyteller…Roald Dahl
The Big Friendly Summer Reading Challenge collector folder, rewards and certificate will feature some of Roald Dahl’s best loved characters and the amazing artwork of his principle illustrator local resident, Sir Quentin Blake.
The Big Friendly Read is free and open to all children and all libraries will be hold fun free events and activities all summer long.
